3km Time Smash

I am in my last week of run training in the lead up to my half marathon on Sunday.  Today’s run was ‘easy’ 3km.  Well that distance is easy for me, well compared to all the long runs I have been doing.  Easy, well that was suppose to be my pace time of approx 6.30mins per km.

I was feeling really good, and I did the 3k (and 500m more).  My time however for the 3km, was 14mins03secs! I could not believe it! I smashed my 15min 3km goal! (5min pace) I am very happy about that.  I think it also helps that were I was running was flat (not like Stawell). But either way, my speed is improving, and I’m happy with that.
